John H. Wohlers, Ph.D., is the Clinical Director of Centre Syracuse. Dr. Wohlers received his Ph.D. in 1974 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has over 30 years of clinical experience and has specialized in working with Eating Disorders for twenty-two years. Dr. Wohlers established the inpatient eating disorders unit at the Benjamin Rush Center in Syracuse, New York in 1984. He was Service Chief of the Eating Disorders Unit, which grew from 8 beds to 16 beds, until the unit closed in 1994. Dr. Wohlers is a Principle in Psychological HealthCare, P.L.L.C., a large, multidisciplinary behavioral health practice in Central New York. He has held academic appointments at: Syracuse University Department of Psychology; State University of New York Upstate Medical University Department of Psychiatry and the LeMoyne College Psychology Department. Dr. Wohlers has been intensively trained in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy.
Jeannine Bordonaro, M.D., is a Psychiatrist and Medical Director of Centre Syracuse. Dr. Bordonaro received her B.S. from SUNY Stonybrook and her M.D. from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. During medical school Dr. Bordonaro was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. During her last year of training she was chief resident of her program. She also received the Wyeth-Ayerst award for clinical excellence. Dr. Bordonaro has experience in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatry. She has most recently been in private practice for over years.
Pamela Coffey, L.C.S.W., is the Assistant Clinical Director of Centre Syracuse. Ms. Coffey received her MSW from Syracuse University. She was the Social Worker and family therapist on the inpatient Eating Disorders Unit at the Benjamin Rush Center in Syracuse, New York. Ms. Coffey has run outpatient psychotherapy groups for both adults and adolescents with eating disorders. Ms. Coffey has specialized in the treatment of individuals with eating disorders for the past 13 years.
Sonia Kragh, M.D., is the Internal Medicine Consultant with Centre Syracuse. Dr. Kragh received her B.A. from Amherst College and attended Boston University School of Medicine. Her internal medicine residency was completed at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Kragh served 4 years at March AFB, California where she was Chief, Internal Medicine and Deputy Chief, Hospital Services. For the past 11 years she has been in private practice, specializing in the care of women, adolescents and individuals with eating disorders. As an educator, Dr. Kragh has precepted medical providers at all levels of training and lectured for area college and university health centers.

Danielle Cornia, Psy.D., is a Primary Therapist with Centre Syracuse. Dr. Cornia received her B.S. in Psychology and a M.A. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She obtained a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Cornia has worked with individuals with eating disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has previously worked on the inpatient Eating Disorders Unit at the Western Psychiatric Institute in Pittsburgh, Pa. At the University of Pittsburgh she conducted research on college athletes who had eating disorders. Her current research interests include: cognitive-behavioral treatment of eating disorders and community education about eating disorders.
Deborah Rosenbaum, M.A., is a Primary Therapist with Centre Syracuse. Ms. Rosenbaum received her B.A. in Psychology from Purchase College in New York. She received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University and is a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York. Ms. Rosenbaum has extensive experience in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy with adolescents, adults and families in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. She also has experience in conducting clinical diagnostic, educational and neuropsychological assessments. Her research interests include the ability of written expression to facilitate coping following medical or emotional trauma and in how the social experiences within the family impact coping of all family members.

Karen Fernandez-Cosgrove, M.A., is the Marriage and Family Therapist at Centre Syracuse. Ms. Fernandez-Cosgrove received her M.A. from Syracuse University’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program. She also holds an M.S. in Counseling Education from Syracuse University and an M.S. in Corporate Communications from Ithaca College. Ms. Fernandez-Cosgrove is presently a Syracuse University Marriage and Family Therapist Doctoral Candidate. She has been practicing family therapy for nine years and is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor. The focus of her doctoral research is on understanding the role of family therapy in the treatment of eating disorders.
Lisa Thomas, R.D., is the Dietician for Centre Syracuse. Ms. Thomas was recruited to Centre Syracuse from Austin, Texas, where she received a B.S. in Family and Consumer Science-Nutrition and Foods from Texas State University-San Marcos. She was employed as a Nutritionist at the Texas State University Student Health Centre where she worked with students diagnosed with eating disorders. Ms. Thomas has a research interest in the impact of nutrition on brain functioning and on human behavior.
Kim Callahan, B.A., is the Kitchen Supervisor at Centre Syracuse. Ms. Callahan received her B.A. from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York. Ms. Callahan has worked with the eating disorder population in acute care centers for 14 years. She has worked in the role of Mental Health Counselor. Additionally, Ms. Callahan has worked in a supervisory role as coordinator at a group home for individuals with mental illness.
