The facility was designed to provide an attractive alternative to hospital or hospital-based programs. The main building was newly constructed in December 1999 and is located on the banks of picturesque 10-mile creek across from a public park with walking trails. The River Centre Clinic is a two minute walk to a small shopping area in downtown Sylvania and there is easy access to shopping and entertainment. A three bedroom home is also located on the River Centre Clinic campus and offers one of our transitional living options for program participants.
The River Centre Clinic offers an independent living area as a safe and comfortable living option for women participating in the Partial Hospitalization Program. The independent living area provides shared rooms and a common living area conveniently located on the south end of the second level of the main treatment facility. The rooms are brightly colored and have their own bathroom. The common living area has an entertainment center, high-speed Internet access, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. There is always a licensed professional staff member on call and adolescent residential care workers are always available in the main treatment building.
There also is an historic three-bedroom home for adults located on the River Centre Clinic campus that is available for independent living. This home is typically available for program participants who are further along in treatment and who are transitioning to more permanent living arrangements.
